Every Sunday morning at 9:30am the church meets for collective worship and to celebrate the Lord’s Supper or Breaking of Bread or Communion.
Following the pattern of the early church as outlined in Acts 2: 42 we meet in a simple fashion around the Lord’s table to which all Christians confessing Jesus as Lord and Saviour are welcome. The service is not formally conducted and has no previously agreed order. Participation is open to all in the congregation, both men and women, to contribute to the collective worship by the giving out of a hymn, offering a prayer, or reading a scripture. We believe, however, that the Biblical principle is that women should not teach the church and, also, the elders request that a woman does not give thanks for the bread or the wine.
